1. Purpose

GATHA connects traditional healers, Vaidyas, researchers, academicians, institutions, legal experts, and other stakeholders to document, preserve, protect, and responsibly advance traditional healing knowledge.

2. User Eligibility and Responsibilities

Users must provide accurate information, maintain account security, and avoid impersonation, fraudulent claims, unlawful activities, or misuse of the platform.

3. Traditional Knowledge Protection

Traditional knowledge may belong to individuals, families, lineages, or communities. Submitting information to GATHA does not automatically transfer ownership to GATHA. Users must obtain appropriate permission before sharing knowledge belonging to others.

4. Consent and Privacy

Users must follow applicable consent requirements when submitting personal information, traditional knowledge, photographs, audio, videos, or research material. Confidential information must not be disclosed without appropriate authorization.

5. Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)

Users retain the rights they lawfully hold in submitted content. GATHA does not automatically acquire ownership of traditional knowledge, copyright, or patent rights. Research, publication, licensing, and other uses may require separate agreements and permissions.

6. Research and Scientific Validation

GATHA facilitates research collaboration and knowledge sharing but does not guarantee scientific validation, patent approval, government recognition, or regulatory acceptance of any healing practice or formulation.

7. Medical Disclaimer

GATHA is a knowledge-sharing, documentation, and research platform, not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Information shared by users may not be scientifically validated.

8. Prohibited Activities

Users must not misuse the platform, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, upload harmful content, publish confidential knowledge without authorization, or make fraudulent medical or commercial claims.

9. Platform Availability and Liability

GATHA aims to maintain reliable services but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation. To the extent permitted by law, GATHA is not responsible for unverified user submissions, unauthorized third-party actions, or service interruptions. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Suspension and Updates

GATHA may restrict accounts or remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law. These Terms may be updated periodically, with revised versions made available through the App.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of India. Disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of competent courts, as permitted by law.
